Unlock your domain
Log into your current registrar and disable the transfer lock (also called registrar lock or domain lock).
Most registrars let you toggle this in your domain settings panel. If you cannot find it, their support team can help.
Get your auth code
Request the EPP authorization code (also called auth code or transfer key) from your current provider.
The auth code is a one-time security token that proves you own the domain. It is usually sent to your registrant email.
Submit to Logicos
Send us your domain name and auth code. We initiate the transfer and handle all DNS and email routing migration.
We pre-configure your DNS records on our nameservers before the transfer completes, so there is no gap in service.
Transfer complete
Your domain is live on Logicos Cloud with full management, monitoring, and an extended registration period.
Most transfers complete within 1–5 days depending on the TLD. You receive email confirmations at every stage.

Frequently asked questions about domain transfers
How long does a domain transfer take?
Most transfers complete within 1–5 business days. The exact duration depends on the TLD registry and how quickly your current registrar releases the domain. We monitor every transfer and keep you updated.
Will my website go offline during the transfer?
No. We pre-configure your DNS records on our nameservers before the transfer completes. Your website, email, and all other services continue to work without any interruption.
What is an EPP authorization code?
An EPP code (also called an auth code or transfer key) is a unique security token that proves you are the domain owner. You request it from your current registrar — it is usually emailed to the domain's registrant contact.
Do I lose any remaining registration time?
No. A transfer adds one full year to your current registration expiry date. If your domain expires in 8 months, after transfer it will expire in 1 year and 8 months.
Can I transfer a .nl domain?
Yes. The .nl transfer process is slightly different from international TLDs — SIDN uses a token-based system instead of EPP codes. We handle the specifics for you.
What if my domain is locked or expired?
Locked domains need to be unlocked at your current registrar before transfer. Expired domains can sometimes still be transferred depending on the grace period. Contact us and we will assess your situation.
